promo-birds-beesThe wait is over, the new Earthlust Birds & Bees bottles are in the country. Available in 2 patterns (birds & bees), these baby bottle / sippy cup combo kids contain:-

  • Double wall vacuum insulated stainless steel bottle
  • Baby Teat
  • Soft Sippy Spout
  • Travel Cap
  • Handles
  • Ring (without handles)

Use this bpa free baby bottle kit to easily transition from bottle feeding to a sippy cup. All plastic components are BPA Free. Replacement teats will be available in Australia later in 2010, but in the meantime, most wide-neck teats do fit these bottles. This stainless steel baby bottle is a great alternative to plastic baby bottles (for those who just don’t like plastic) & glass baby bottles (for those who break too many), and because the Birds & Bees bottle is insulated, it’s safe to feed warm milk from. Just be careful not to store warm milk for extended periods of time without checking the temperature. The official Birds & Bees website, http://www.birdsandbeesbottles.com/ suggests mothers dump milk stored for more than 4 hours without refrigeration.

Earthlust also produce a great range of Stainless Steel Water Bottles in a variety of beautiful designs & sizes in limited edition styles.

RRP – $39.95.

Bottled water $13.70 a litre

July 3rd, 2010

Conservation action group Do Something! went on the search for the most expensive botlted water. The winner? Voss water, sold in the food hall at David Jones for $10.95 for an 800ml bottle, which equals $13.70, or 10 times the cost of the average litre of petrol.

The article goes on to state that Sydney tap water costs $2.01 for 1,000 litres and Australian’s spend over half a billion dollars a year on bottled water. Just crazy.
